# CURRENCY_AMOUNT() Function

### Description
Extracts the numeric amount from an rp_currency value.

**Aliases:** `CURRENCYAMOUNT`

### Syntax
```sql
CURRENCY_AMOUNT(expression)
```

### Parameters
